monday.com cross-board continuity

Move the item. Keep the handoff readable.

Carryover gives destination teams a bounded snapshot of the supported pre-move state, the explicit text mappings, the verification result, and clear native recovery instructions.

Public preview install. monday will show the requested permissions and require an authorized account user to confirm installation. Carryover currently charges no fee, and Marketplace billing is not enabled.

The missing middle

Native movement, with an explicit continuity layer.

monday moves the item and maps columns, while earlier activity remains on the source board. Carryover does not copy or replace monday’s Activity Log. It creates a readable, bounded handoff artifact for the people receiving the item.

First-release contract

Narrow on purpose.

The first useful release handles one repeatable handoff well. Every supported and excluded surface is visible before the operator confirms.

Supported

One parent item

Same-account classic boards, one destination group, and one to ten exhaustive exact-title text mappings.

Bounded

Available activity

A disclosed 24-hour source-board snapshot with a 25-row cap. Unknown kinds and omissions stay visible.

Excluded

No hidden expansion

No subitems, cross-account moves, background automation, update conversations, files, or unsupported column semantics.

The honest promise

A verified handoff receipt, not a complete history.

Carryover verifies what it can prove, names what it could not carry, and points operators back to monday’s native state and Undo tools. It is not backup software, immutable evidence, an audit trail, or a compliance product.
